“Leading CityKids in the Way of Jesus for the Renewal of the City”

--------

FROM THE CITYKIDS DIRECTOR:

Dear Parents,

Our church is passionate about serving families and enabling them to build sustainable lives to stay and thrive in NYC. We feel honored to come alongside families as children are guided to Christ and inspired to live out the way of Jesus. CityKids aims to make Sunday one of the most exciting times of a kid’s week as they learn what it means to be a part of the Body of Christ. We believe CityKids is just an extension of the adult service and we work to build up the Body of Christ in our littlest members.

We look forward to watching your child grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Much love,

Kristina Torrejon
CityKids Director

ABOUT CITYKIDS:

Our CityKids program is offered each Sunday for children ages 0 to 5th grade.

Our program is offered during the 10:30am service at Eleanor Roosevelt High School (411 e 76th st), and the 5:00pm service at Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis High School (120 w 46th st).

Each week involves worship, Bible stories, community building, Scripture memory, and fun. Over the course of a year, we walk with children through the entire narrative arc of Scripture so they can learn about who God is, who they are, and how they can live in the way of Jesus for the renewal of their city!

When entering each of our locations, find the City Kids check-in booth. Our trained and background-certified team will assist you with helping your kids find their place. City Kids seeks to help our kids live in the way of Jesus, and values them as a vital part of our church community.

OUR CORE VALUES:

Our teaching at every level focuses on the same 5 values of our church body:

Gospel – JESUS is the Good News!
Identity – In Christ I am a new creation!
Community – Our Church is Family!
Mission – Let your Light Shine!
Power - The Holy Spirit works in us!

Child Safety

At Church of the City NYC, we take child safety seriously. All of our volunteers are background checked and receive teacher training. Only volunteers are allowed in classrooms with children, and there are always 2 adults in each room at all times and during bathroom breaks/diaper changes. Strict check-in and check-out policies are adhered to.

Child Check In Policy:

We encourage you to drop you children off 30min early so you can join pre-service prayer in the lobby. When you arrive, a volunteer will check in your child and provide a name-tag sticker to both you and your child. They will also receive a wristband for their age group team. You can pick your children up directly after service, using this same name-tag as an ID during check-out.  If someone other than you will be picking up your child, please mention this at time of check-in
